🌧️ What Happens If It Rains on the Day of Your Outdoor Photo Shoot? (Perth Family Photography Edition)

I’m a Perth family photographer who gets that life (and weather) can be unpredictable. My job is to keep things relaxed, flexible, and easy. If we need to shift your shoot, we will. If you’re happy to dance in the rain, I’ll be right there with you (umbrella in one hand, camera in the other).

A couple recently booked a beach photo shoot at Floreat Beach and the forecast said we’d have a break in the rain. So we went for it… and absolutely got drenched within minutes. Like, full soaking, dark and gloomy. he forecast couldn't have been more wrong! They were absolute legends about it and laughed it off thankfully. We made the most of it, got some moody shots in the rain, and, of course, went back another day (on the house) when the weather was on our side.

They got their dreamy, light-filled beach session - exactly how they’d imagined it.

What’s My Rainy Day Policy?

If you’re booking an outdoor lifestyle session with me whether it’s a maternity shoot, a couples session, or a family photography experience - you don’t have to stress about the weather.

Here’s what I do:

• I keep an eye on the forecast in the 24 hours leading up to your shoot.

• If it looks like we’re in for heavy rain or wind, I’ll get in touch to talk through options.

• We can reschedule at no cost to you. It’s important to me that you love your images, and I don’t want you to worry about the weather messing that up.

• If you’re happy to go ahead, we can absolutely still shoot! Rain can be fun, romantic, and cinematic in the right setting - just be prepared to get a little wet.
